Bright Beginnings Preschool
Bright Beginnings Preschool is an instructional preschool program for students with developmental delays.
The program is designed to develop pre-academic and communication skills of preschoolers (ages 3 through 5) with developmental delays in pre-academic, social, and/or communication skills. The Bright Beginnings Preschool program offers a small, structured classroom and is staffed on a 1:4 ratio, generally with a teacher and a classroom assistant.
Program components of Bright Beginnings Preschool:
- The classroom utilizes small instructional groupings that focus on the development of speech and language skills and academic readiness skills.
- Students work towards individual goals and that enable them to maximize their potential and prepare for kindergarten.
- Daily schedule includes snack/lunch time, structured physical activities and opportunities for cooperative play.
- Integration opportunities with typically developing peers are available as indicated on the IEP to meet students' needs.
